As the sun sets on fossil fuels we must look to new sources of energy. Framed around sustainability, the Renewable Energy Club is a project-based organization looking to educate the public, as well as fellow students, as to the value and necessity of renewable energies. The Renewable Energy Club was the student force behind the 2005 Solar Decathlon in which Cal Poly took third place in this international competition. The Renewable Energy Club is currently working on the 2007 Solar Decathlon entry as well as smaller projects such as hydrogen production on campus.
