Welcome to the Mechanical Engineering Department
With a $300 donation from Ultrex, members of the Cal Poly Robotics Club created a 500 pound, 10 by 12 feet blue ox. The president of Ultrex, a fan of the San Luis Obispo Blues baseball team, requested this mechanical ox as a tribute to the Blues. Members successfully made the ox's eyes flash red, tail wag, and smoke gush from its nostrils. For more information, please go to their Robotics Club website.
